I had to go to a typing office today so I could type something and print it.  It was just one page and not very many words worth of ink and they charged me 5aed ($1.36) for it.

I asked for a receipt because I like to be obnoxious about expensing everything I can because it’s satisfying to think of certain work people getting annoyed with my request to be reimbursed such a minuscule amount…

And I found it amusing that the receipt that the guy printed me was on the same size paper as my document and used more ink than I did thanks to fancy logos and additional features like bold words and underlining.

I told the Syrian guy he should charge me $1.36 for the receipt, but then he’d have to give me a receipt for that, which he would have to charge me for, and that could go on and on indefinitely.  We had a good laugh about it.  

Sometimes I really really love every person ever.
